February 9, 2022 - San Jose, Costa Rica to Scottsdale, Arizona

We had an EARLY start this morning – wake up call at 5:00 am and on a shuttle to the airport by 6:15. The hotel fixed a sack breakfast for us but … we opted to save the orange, drink the juice and ditch the sandwich. We went into the American Express lounge and had our last Costa Rican breakfast tipico. Rice and beans with plantains, scrambled eggs and fruit. Our flight back to Phoenix took us in about the most roundabout way – San Jose to Newark, New Jersey – over five hours in the plane! Tobey took this picture from the plane as we made our way north. I’m not sure where we were, but the water below was beautiful!We grabbed a sandwich in Newark before our NEXT five hour flight back to Scottsdale. It was a LONG, LONG travel day but we had a great time on this trip. That said, it is still good to be back in the US. This is the last post for a while!
