Today is Gary’s birthday so we let him decide the day’s activities. This morning we walked down to the beach to see low tide. Later in the day, the rocks in the picture below are covered in water because the tide fluctuates over nine feet! This area will be filled with surfers by the afternoon. We watched as several cars and trucks drove out to the edge of the water and waited for the small boats to come in and load supplies and people. The patterns the waves made in the sand were really cool. They reminded me of forests.Gary wanted to go back to Soda El Estero for “linner” (lunch-dinner) so we piled in the car and headed there. Mahi-mahi was on the menu again and it was delicious. We headed back to the beach for a late afternoon walk and swim and to see the sunset. You can’t see the rocks anymore!Another successful sunset signaled the end of the beach day. Pura Vida!
