Well, it’s Groundhog’s Day and while Phil is predicting six more weeks of winter you would never know it here in Costa Rica!
We had a good – and lazy day. Tobey and Gary walked to the beach this morning while Ann and I stayed in and read. At lunch we drove looking for one of the sodas Ann had found information about. We couldn’t find it, so we ended up at Soda Buffet El Estero. It was really good. It was buffet in that you went through and picked out what you wanted – salad, type of rice and beans, potatoes, veggies, and main course. We all picked the mahi mahi which was fried and fresh, and delicious! The owner was a younger guy and we enjoyed visiting with him. After lunch we went across the road to the beach. This is at the north end of the Tamarindo Beach and they have a water taxi you can hire to take you across to the other side. Ann and I picked up shells while the guys walked a little. We took the car back to our place so the guys could take a nap. Late afternoon we went back to the beach. Tobey and I both went in today – the water was much warmer! There are lots of surfers in this area and we watched several that were having surfing lessons.Dinner was at Walter’s on the beach. The food was good, the view was better! The sunset was pretty nice.We all thought the sky was even prettier once the sun was down and the moon was visible.I hope you had a good Groundhog’s Day and your winter is milder than predicted!
Pura Vida!
