We didn’t go far today or do much. We left our spot at Playa Agua Blanca for Puerto Escondido – 22 miles away! As we came into town, we checked out one spot, El Salvador Restaurant at Playa Zicatela, which was recommended by RVers Kevin and Ruth. The RV spot’s were already taken. It was located on a beach that attracts lots of surfers and looked pretty nice. Maybe next time.
On in to Puerto Escondido, we looked at another campground (Las Brisas) and didn’t like it or the location. We continued on to Neptunos. It is okay and we are paying $100 pesos ($8 USD) for the night with no hookups. There are large buses pulling in to park for the night – we hope it quiets down!
Tobey walked the beach while I napped and he ran into our Argentinian friends, Magi and Consu! They came back to the RV with Tobey and visited a while. It was fun to hear how their adventure is going. It sounds like they are having a great time. We recommended that they go to Puerto Marques as it should be safer than Acapulco.
We took the scooter and drove around a little this afternoon and stopped for some groceries. A walk on the beach and swim before dinner, then a walk along the “tourist street” this evening rounded out our day.
