January 19, 2023 - Salta to Cordoba, Argentina

Our 8 am transfer to the airport arrived at 7:35 this morning! I'm glad we were almost ready to go and didn't keep her waiting long. We had an easy flight and it's interesting that so far going through security in the airports here we have only had to take our electronics out of our carry on bags. Liquids can stay in the bags, shoes on, AND some people had large, clear water bottles go through with no questions. It's different from what we are used to in the USA.

It is VERY hot here in Cordoba - it was still 95 degrees at 4:30 pm. After checking into the hotel we walked a couple blocks to grab some lunch. I picked a burger place and Tobey was hesitant. I should have gone with his gut instincts. We ordered their "promotion" burger offer. Two burgers with fries for $2150 pesos (around $6.50 USD). The burger came with two patties, cheese, bacon, grilled onion, and more cheese on the TOP of the bun. We both got rid of the buns and ate the meat with a fork. The best part of the meal was the fries. Oh well, next time Tobey picks!

We spent a little time walking around and then relaxing at the hotel trying to stay cool! Emi met us around 7:30 and we walked to a nice sandwich shop for dinner. It was kind of like a sub sandwich with fries and we shared and were full. The lemonade was really good, too! Best of all was spending time with her!

Emi showed us around the area as we walked back to the hotel. Tomorrow we will all go on a tour together, so we will have more time to visit. Good night for now.
