Then - on to the eclipse viewing. Unfortunately, the weather did not want to cooperate with viewing! It was pretty cloudy, but we managed to get some shots between clouds.
We had our glasses and looked pretty stylish! Look, Tobey, up there!
When the moon first started I took a picture with the filter over the camera and it looked a bit orange. It was difficult to do!
Then the total ... we couldn't see anything because the clouds were so dark!
It was still fun and we enjoyed the company we were with the most!
This evening we joined Donna's sister and her husband at the VFW for a fish fry. The food was really good but there was so much we couldn't finish. It's been great meeting Jerry and Donna and spending time here at Canyon Lakes. Tomorrow we'll visit some old neighbors who moved to New Braunfels and then on to a friend with used to work with near Corpus Christi.
