It was overcast this morning and we debated going to the beach. By 10 am when we would need to leave to catch the colectivo, rain was imminent, so we decided to stay in today. It was a good decision on our part because it did rain … and rain … and rain!
Around 12:30 there was a break in the rain so we walked up the street to this “new” taco stand. The guy running it is from Mexico City and his partner was from Merida. We had 3 tacos each – one was like a pulled pork and the other was a light barbeque pulled pork. Lunch was $80 pesos for both of us ($4 USD) and pretty good.We managed to make it home before the afternoon showers started. It poured again for quite a while. I managed to get most of our packing done – even though I am not ready to go home! We read, caught up on emails, and played cards. I beat Tobey, so that was good.
Dinner tonight was back at El Camello’s. We are such creatures of habit – Tobey had the shrimp ceviche and I had the garlic fish filet – and it was delicious, as usual!
The sky is clearing tonight and we are hoping its sunny for our last day at the beach tomorrow.
