The last couple days have been pretty quiet since the weather has been cooler and windy.
On Tuesday we walked to the grocery store – taking the scenic route through residential streets on the opposite side of the main street. We had walked well over a mile when Tobey remembered to turn on the “map my hike” app on his phone. When we got back we had gone 3.58 miles – so over 4-1/2 miles. Good workout.
We spent the last couple days watchig a little of the primary results on FoxNews. We are glad we are missing so much of the media hype!
Tobey was able to catch up on a few of his TV shows on the computer and I finished a great book, Cutting For Stone by Abraham Verghese. He has beat me at rummy four times in a row – it seems like it should be my turn to win!!
Tonight we walked to a fairly new pizza place, El Manglar, and got a pizza para llevar (to go). We were able to pick our own ingredients – pepperoni, ham, onion, red pepper, mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce – all for $100 pesos. ($5.30 USD) It was pretty good – actually one of the best pizzas we’ve had in Mexico and it was all we could do to finish it.We are hoping for warmer weather tomorrow so we can go to the beach – we are both missing that liquid sunshine!
