We had a long travel day today on our “replacement” vacation! In September we were supposed to travel to Myrtle Beach, SC, but Hurricane Florence changed our plans. We needed to use our resort credit before the end of the year and needed to go somewhere we could use our airline credit, as well. We ended up here, in Cabo.
We were up at 2 am and on our way to the airport by 2:30! Short night. Our flight took us from Denver to San Diego then on to Cabo. We stopped in the American Express lounge in San Diego and got sandwiches to go for lunch, which made it a more comfortable flight. We arrived in Cabo shortly after 1pm and breezed through customs and out to our shuttle to the resort.
After settling in at the Coral Baja by WordMark Wyndham, we hopped on the bus and headed into San Jose del Cabo to pick up some groceries. The round trip bus was about $1.50 USD per person. Pretty cheap!
We fixed dinner in tonight because we were both tired and didn’t want to head out to a restaurant. Tobey grilled. Our view from the 5th floor – we are in a back building not facing the ocean which is a bummer, but it is still okay. After dinner we watched a movie and tried to stay awake until 9:30! We checked the score of the Rockies game and it is still tied 1-1, but we can’t stay up to hear the outcome. We will hope for the best. GO ROCKIES!
