The boardwalk also follows along part of the Laguana Nimez Bird Sanctuary. We spotted several birds as we meandered along. After dinner tonight we walked along another section of the boardwalk back to our hotel. Here are some of the birds we saw today.
We have also seen lots of horses here in El Calafate. People riding them all over town, on the sidewalks, on the streets, and in arenas. You really need to watch where you walk!
We even saw a guy trying to saddle his horse this evening as we walked back to our hotel. The wind is blowing very hard today - about 20mph - and the blanket kept blowing off the horse before he could get the saddle on!
After lots of meat, pizza and sandwiches, Tobey and I both wanted something different to eat so he found a place that was supposed to make burritos. It sounded great. Turned out to be good and a cheap price, to boot! We shared one and had plenty!

I will make a separate post with several of the plants and flowers we have seen. We are back to our hotel for the night and fly to Buenos Aires tomorrow.
