We stopped again at Bosler, Wyoming for drinks and snacks. There isn’t much there – a couple of abandoned buildings and cars, but a nice wide parking area. There is a lot of wide, open space in Wyoming; and fortunately, not much traffic.
I was able to stop several times along the road to see the wildlife.
The mountains were beautiful in the distance, and the wind in Wyoming allows for several wind farms.
About nine miles from Medicine Bow we stopped at the Dinosaur Graveyard and Museum.
The museum has been closed for some time, but it was interesting to read the signs about the area.
Next stop – Medicine Bow!
The guys rode into Medicine Bow shortly after noon today, having cycled 57 miles. We had a picnic lunch by the museum. Unfortunately, it is closed on Sundays!
We walked across the road to check out The Virginian Hotel and Restaurant. It is based on the novel The Virginian and the TV series. It was fun to go through and see the old photos and we got to look in most of the rooms. It is still an operating hotel, but there are few customers.

We had permission to camp at an abandoned RV park at the north end of town, so we circled the wagons and Bob pitched his tent.
Penny was able to chase the ball in the old baseball field and was also a happy camper!
After dinner a stroll through town revealed interesting “yard art” and a large assortment of houses.
We saw more wildlife and a cowboy out for a ride.
Today’s ride was quicker – Tobey averaged 15.3 mph. They had a 500’ decrease in elevation today, which definitely helped! His bike computer shutdown partway through his ride, so he didn’t get all of his statistics, but should be back up and running tomorrow. They have an early start in the morning, so more tomorrow!
