We had a quiet day in Tulum today. We walked in a different section of town and noticed some apartment developments. From there we did a little tourist shopping then headed to Chedraui to pick up some groceries. Less than five minutes after entering the store, we could hear the rain pounding down on the building! It was so loud, it sounded like it would come through the roof! We took our time and browsed the aisles and spent some extra time in the bakery department selecting treats! By the time we finished our shopping, the rain had stopped, and the sun was trying to break through the clouds so we could walk home.
We made our way home, stopping at a small loncheria (lunch stop). We split a huarache, a sope, a tostada, and a chocolate milk smoothie. She apologized that she only had carne asada and queso left, so all of the items had beef & cheese. It was filling and only $42 pesos! ($3.15 USD).
Back home we played cards, took naps, read, and watched a little TV (online). This evening we got new neighbors upstairs who arrived from New York.
We are hoping for good weather in the morning so we can go to the beach before the Super Bowl. GO BRONCOS!!!
